My why

Misty Wamhoff is a Texas native who has proudly called Frisco home for 17 years. She and her husband, Patrick, have been married for 17 years and are raising three children—two proud Frisco ISD graduates and one current student. As a longtime parent in the district, Misty understands the experiences, hopes, and concerns of families at every stage of the journey.

Her commitment to service runs deep. Misty is the Vice President of the Denton County CPS Board, a former three‑year PTA Secretary, and an active volunteer with organizations such as Clean It & Green It, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), and Feed My Starving Children. Within Frisco ISD, she has supported programs across the district, including FFA, the Frisco Ag Buyers Club, Reedy High School Wrestling, Reedy High School Football, and various booster clubs.

Now, she’s ready to bring that same dedication to the Frisco ISD School Board.

Misty is running to keep Frisco ISD a district known for academic excellence. She believes in strong schools, safe campuses, and open communication with the families who trust the district with their children every day.

Her mission is clear:

Be a voice for parents, teachers, and students. Ensure accountability and transparency. Protect the high standards that make Frisco ISD exceptional. Always put children’s best interests first.
